Learn Guitar, Bass, or Ukulele on Your Samsung TV with Fender Play (2026)

Ready to transform your TV into a musical haven? Fender Play is bringing its interactive music lessons to Samsung TVs, opening up a world of guitar, bass, and ukulele learning right in your living room!

Learning an instrument can be a challenging but rewarding journey. Having the right tools and guidance can make all the difference. It's no surprise that platforms like YouTube and TikTok have become popular resources for aspiring musicians. But now, there's another exciting option to consider.

Fender Play, a service that's been helping musicians for years, is expanding its reach. It offers lessons for guitar, bass, and even ukulele, providing a structured way to learn songs and gradually improve your skills. The app even features a feedback mode using your phone's microphone to help you refine your playing.

Now, Fender Play is venturing beyond mobile apps and landing on Samsung TVs. This means you can now learn to play your favorite instruments on the big screen! However, there are a few important details to keep in mind.

First, the TV version won't have the microphone feedback feature. Samsung has confirmed that this functionality won't be available.

Second, the app is specifically designed for Samsung TVs (and potentially projectors) that use the Tizen operating system. This is a key point: even if you own a Tizen-based TV from another brand, like Bauhn, the Fender Play app won't be compatible. This exclusivity is a significant aspect of the rollout.

"We are thrilled to bring Fender Play’s immersive learning experience to Samsung TV users, helping guitar enthusiasts take their skills to the next level," said Cliff Kim, Vice President of Growth Strategy for Digital Products at Fender.

"Our mission has always been to educate and inspire players globally and this partnership gives music lovers the opportunity to learn, practice, and play with Fender Play’s high-quality, interactive lessons directly on their Samsung TV," he said.

Australians can expect the Fender app on last year’s Samsung TVs as well as this year’s later this year.

Currently, Fender Play's pricing is around $20 monthly or $150 per year in US dollars. While local pricing for Australia hasn't been confirmed yet, there's a possibility of deals in the future.
