Down in the Twin Cities, the heaviest snow fell in the northern suburbs. Otsego leads with 5.8 inches, followed by Golden Valley at 5.3 inches. Coon Rapids measured 4.6 inches, while Ramsey recorded 4.5 inches. As you move further south, totals dropped sharply, with most southern metro areas seeing three inches or less.
And this is the part most people miss: these numbers were reported late Tuesday before midnight. Meteorologist John Zeigler from KARE 11 points out that totals could increase as more reports roll in Wednesday morning, meaning the standings might still shift.
