It all comes down to this moment. In Part 1 of The Voice Season 28 finale on December 15, the Top 6 took the stage for two performances each, with overnight voting by viewers before the winner was announced in the live December 16 broadcast.

After the Playoffs on December 1 and December 8, each coach selected one artist for the Finals: Ralph Edwards representing Team Snoop Dogg, Aubrey Nicole from Team Reba McEntire, Aiden Ross from Team Niall Horan, and Jazz McKenzie from Team Michael Bublé. The remaining two finalists—chosen by America’s votes—were revealed during Part 1 of the finale.

From Team Bublé, Max Chambers earned a Finals spot, alongside DEK of Hearts from Team Niall.

DEK of Hearts

For their first Finals performance, DEK of Hearts performed “Fishin’ in the Dark” by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, delivering a classic country vibe for the country music fans.

“You know how much I love you guys. That sounded terrific. I’ve loved that song forever, and you all knocked it out of the park,” said Reba McEntire. Niall Horan added, “Consistency is king here, and you’ve never put a foot wrong. What a way to start. Five-star performance. You bring it every single time.”

Max Chambers

Max followed with Forrest Frank’s “Your Way’s Better,” introducing a dancers’ presence to accompany the performance.

Bublé praised the young contestant for bravely sharing his faith through the song choice, telling him, “You speak to millions of people you’re moving, and you crushed it.”

Aubrey Nicole

Team Reba’s sole finalist, Aubrey—who initially earned a Blind Auditions chair—performed “Til You Can’t” by Cody Johnson.

“You deserve to be here. You’re phenomenal. This was one of the greatest performances I’ve seen from you. You just get better every time you take the stage,” Snoop Dogg raved. McEntire choked up, saying, “I’m so proud of you. You’re beautiful inside and out. I couldn’t be more proud.”

Jazz McKenzie

Bublé’s other finalist, Jazz, delivered a rendition of Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds” for her first performance.

“I told you last night you’re the light… this is it. This is my last time here. And Jazz McKenzie, what a way to go. You are perfect,” Bublé told his finalist.

Aiden Ross

Team Niall’s other finalist, Aiden, took the stage with “Golden Hour” by JVKE.

“I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. This kid is beyond talented—absolutely insane,” raved Horan. “You always find the heartbeat in the end. That song was perfect for you. America, get voting now.”

Ralph Edwards

Snoop’s finale artist, Ralph Edwards, performed “I Want to Know What Love Is.”

Ralph’s coach could barely speak, scribbling on a notepad, “And the winner is…” He finally encouraged viewers, saying, “Never give up. I love that you never gave up and you’re still here. People watching, never give up. Let’s go, Ralph!”

Aubrey Nicole

Aubrey returned to sing “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia,” a song McEntire has covered herself.

McEntire’s enthusiasm was infectious. “I’ve loved that song forever. I loved it when I recorded it, and look at you—killing it again. You knocked it out of the ballpark, girl,” she exclaimed.

DEK of Hearts

DEK of Hearts delivered James Bay’s “Let It Go” for their next performance. A brief technical hiccup occurred at the start, but they pushed through.

Horan praised their composure: “That hiccup didn’t derail you. You recovered beautifully. America, that was live—three voices, three harmonies, live on TV.”

Jazz McKenzie

Jazz returned for Olivia Rodrigo’s “Driver’s License.”

Snoop teared up watching Jazz, telling her, “Seeing you with your mom and hearing you sing touched my heart. You’re amazing.” Bublé also struggled to hold back tears, calling her “born to be a star.”

Max Chambers

In a rapid-fire back-to-back set, Max performed Whitney Houston’s “One Moment in Time.”

Ralph closed with Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven.”
